The project has four major objectives

  1. Theoretical study, analytically and numerically, of damping in XPHD conditions under impact loading (shock), for different axi-symmetrical configurations.
  2. Experimental study for validation of the models mentioned at objective (1)
  3. Application of the results obtained at objectives (1) and (2) for the realization of XPHD shock dampers with the following potential application : sports and protection equipment, components for articular prothesis and anthropomorphic robots.
  4. Initiation of theoretical and experimental studies dedicated to extensions of XPHD shock dampers for other configurations that in objective (1): multilayer, cylindrical surfaces, etc.
